Perennial plant, hermaphrodite, up to 0.8 m in height, often with ephedroid appearance. Stems erect, not divaricate, frequently leafless, glabrous, deeply grooved. Basal leaves deciduous, cauline leaves reduced to sheaths, glabrous. Umbels with 5-11 rays, filiform, 0.5-2 cm long. Bracts and bracteoles glabrous, yellowish, translucent. Petals 5, white. Fruit a double achene, 1.2-2.5 mm long and 1.2-2.3 mm wide, ovoid, compressed laterally, with bristly erect hairs.

Habitat:
Rocks, arid places, in plains and bases of mountains.
Distribution:
Endemic to Morocco, mainly in a cold semiarid climate in the High Atlas (Seksaua, Aït Buguemez, Taurirt-n-Aït Milch, etc.).
Conservation status:
Not a very common species, even rare, with a small distribution area. Currently, they have not been assessed at a global level in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
