Moricandia DC.

Genus composed of 3-8 species (according to some authors). In North Africa there is one well defined species: M. arvensis, from which various taxa are being separated at specific level, which were frequently seen as infraspecific taxa. Usually it is a herbaceous species but some of its infraspecific taxa or “microspecies” have a clearly woody stems at the base.
