Vincetoxicum Baill.
Genus composed of 256 species distributed throughout the warm and temperate regions of the Old World and the Western Pacific (including New Guinea, Australia, but not New Zealand); Introduced to parts of North America. The only woody representation of this genus in N Africa is the shrub V. schimperi, which occurs from Ethiopia to Egypt.
