Saharanthus M.B. Crespo & Lledó
Genus with a single species, S. ifniensis, an endemic shrub of littoral and sublittoral areas of SW Morocco and SW Sahara This species had been traditionally considered within the genus Limoniastrum, until M.B.Crespo & Lledó (2000) separated it into a new genus due to its peculiar characteristics.
