Trichodesma R.Br.
Genus composed of 38 species of annuals, perennials and herbaceous chamaephytes, distributed through tropical and subtropical regions of the Old World. In North Africa it is represented by 2 species (or 3, if T. gracile Batt. & Trab. is accepted), with ± woody stems, at least at the base.
