Eng.: Brullo, goldylocks.
Subshrub up to 50(60) cm in height, with numerous erect stems, tomentose-glandular. Leaves oblong, entire, unarmed, obtuse, widened at the base and clasping the stem, densely hairy. Capitula sessile or shortly pedunculate, solitary or grouped in 2-3 at the ends of short branches in the upper parts of the stems. Capitula with involucre 8-10 mm long, with several rows of laxly imbricated bracts, oblong, obtuse, with recurved apex and silky indumentum; outer bracts herbaceous; inner bracts membranous. Receptacle alveolate, without interfloral scales. Flowers all in disc florets and hermaphrodite, yellow, with apexes with 5 purple lobes. Achenes compressed, longitudinally striated, hairy, with reddish pappus formed by an inner row of long and scabrid setae and an outer row of setae that are much shorter than the inner row and equally scabrid.

Habitat:
Rocky and clayey slopes in dry and desert areas.
Distribution:
Middle East. In North Africa it is found in desert areas of the Sinai Peninsula.
Conservation status:
Rare species with a small distribution area. Currently, it has not been assessed at a global level in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
