Spa.: Piorno del Anremer.
Shrub, small, branched from the base, stems covered with applied setae, ascending and tending to form clumps that are hemispherical in shape up to 70 cm, usually smaller. Leaves from oblanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, with 2-4 deep lobes, some leaves entire, acute to subacute. Inflorescence with variable number of flowers, but often multiflorous; axis with very short and applied setae, all of similar size (0.2-0.4 mm). Fruit dehiscent (silicle); with 2 parts or divisions; the lower part fertile, 3 times smaller than the upper or stylar part, with setose valves (sometimes almost glabrous) with only 3 clearly marked longitudinal veins; the upper (stylar) part sterile, ensiform, with an apex clearly topped by the stigma. It resembles V. pseudocytisus, but it differs in the upper part of the silicle, which is lanceolate, ± acute, with the same basal width as the lower part and 1.5 times longer. Seeds 1-1.5 mm long, inside the lower part.
