PHYLLANTHACEAE Martinov

Vaste famille à aire de répartition tropicale, qui était jusqu’à récemment incluse dans la famille des Euphorbiaceae en tant que sous-famille Phyllanthoideae. Elle comprend 58 genres et environ 2100 espèces arborescentes, arbustives et herbacées. Dans le N. de l’Afrique, elle présente plusieurs espèces ligneuses appartenant aux genres Flueggea et Phyllanthus.
