Sarcocornia A.J. Scott

Genre représenté par 2 espèces dans le N. de l’Afrique, S. fruticosa et S. perennis. La première est un arbrisseau à tiges fortement ligneuses, amplement réparti dans toute la région, et la seconde est un suffrutex de seulement 10-30 cm de haut apparaissant essentiellement dans la région méditerranéenne, et présentant une sous-espèce à port plus important.
